I bought some haylage off a farm and one is the pale green wrapper as usual but one is a dark green wrapper :/ which I've never seen before. Did I just win todays numpty award, for accidentally buying silage?

Maybe the just ran out of the light green ones I thought Silage was usually in a black wrapper - but I could be totally wrong.

I have had haylage come in black and green wrap (various shades) - the only way to find out is to open a bale!! I am sure if you bought silage by mistake the supplier would swap it for you...

Our haylage has come in all colours of wrapper, it just depends what's on the machine at the time of baling.

Oh thank goodness. I thought silage was black wrap too and its small bales which I didn't think you could get small bale silage. Anyway it smells like haylage so I think its ok. I'll stop panicking now. Thank you
