Just looking on some advice on where to get haylage and what size would be best to buy for one horse who isn't a big hay eater, based in Cardiff, thanks in advance!

If you are only feeding one horse then you won't use up a big bale before it goes off. Small bales are expensive for what they are but less wastage - most feed suppliers sell small haylage bales if you can't find a supplier in your area.

I thought that would be the issue, my horse has worn teeth so finds it difficult to chew hay and seems to do better on haylage, but thank you for the feedback!

i was going to suggest Mole Country Stores as ours stocks West Country haylage which is only £5 a bag if you buy 5 bags at a time but the nearest store to you is in Bridgend.

My 14.3 just LOVES haylage and although he only has at nights (soaked hay in field in the day as he has to share it with our youngster), a bag only lasts me just over 2 days

Should add that I bought in bulk when Moles had a 10% discount day but it was a bit of a false economy as the rats decided to chew on a some of the bags, making them go mouldy so I had to bin them.

Have you tried Odds On haylage in Bridgend. They've delivered superb quality haylage to me in Swansea over the years. They have a website with details.
