Having to feed horsehage to my NF at the moment as she has COPD and obviously having trouble soaking hay. We buy from yard owner and they supply Haylite and Haylean (can't remember off hand but think its Topscore?). Does anyone know the difference between them as it doesn't say on the bag. Just need to make sure its suitable to feed to a laminitis prone native. Am feeding about 16lb a day at the moment (2lb in morning and 14lb at night).

I think the Haylean is essentially bagged hay, the Haylite is more Haylage-like.
They are both pretty dust free though - I give my cob the Haylean, he loves it!

Yes it will be Topscore. Haylean is the lowest calorie one so that would be most suitable for a good doer - I use that for my fatties in the summer.

It is topscore - we use it. Haylite is lower calorie but is still haylage. Haylean has more sugar in it. If you've got a laminitis prone ned (or just a fat / fizzy one!) then definitely use Haylite. Even then it is haylage and you might need to be careful.
