I put this in a collection of photos in gallery but thought I'd put it in here as the idea went down well...

We occassionally garnish the ponies haynets to give them something to keep them busy on the long winter nights... they love this...

Take one bag of carrots with tops left on and add to full haynet as follows...

Keeps them quiet for a while!

I will do this for the boys at Christmas - Chancer is not that keen on the tops, but Cairo prefers them to the carrot and will really love this idea.

I also pick him a bunch of flowers in the spring - cow parsley and dandys - he always accepts them with great appreciation - they never get a chance to fade.

Well Cairo has been known to eat a pack or two at once with no effects - he loves them so much they are one of his fav treats.

Not saying they aren't bad, I was not aware they are, but I have fed them to many horses for many years with no side effects.
