My mare seems to spend the whole night butting her haynet, twirling it round to find the bits she wants. It takes ages in the morning to unwind it and the intertwined hay....any one got any bright anti swivel ideas??......can't put hay on floor as she would just make a mess and tread most of it in

It's just a ring on the wall, so no bars, but good idea. She's picky with the hay so prob keeps picking the bits she likes. Was just wondering if there was a swivel clip or ring anyone knew about?

I'd put another tie ring underneath the first, as someone else has suggested. You can either then run the string down through both loops, or you could tie up at the top and use a carabiner (one that screws shut, not just a normal push one -accident waiting to happen otherwise!) to fasten bottom of haynet to tie ring. I use those carabiners on my Trickletnets as they're too tough and awkward to get the string through the nets themselves, and they work well.

We put our hay in large tub trugs on the floor. Seems to work well as the hay is contained rather than just being in a pile. Easier to fill than nets too!
