So had lesson with YO yesterday and she pops up on Jack - within 10 mins (and after putting up the usual fight) he was working in a proper nice outline, using his back end and actually moving forward. Was so nice to see him looking like a proper horsey rather than the half camel he goes like for me. I now know that getting these lessons is going to be worth it in the long run cause I'm obviously doing something wrong. Wasn't too keen on the jumping with no reins though (she was trying to get me to ride more from my leg and seat). I was convinced he was going to stop, as he normally would or duck out the side, but no he popped over them all beautifully with ears forward and a spring in his step. All this and he came galloping up to me when I shouted on him from the gate in the field.
