Really sad, yesterday we went to pick up the horse we had tried out at the weekend to bring him home. We have been looking for two years and this little guy was perfect! He was a dream to ride, sweet little pony, lovely, super safe. He loaded brilliantly, the lady we got him from was SO NICE, she couldnt have been more honest and kind. Everything was going great...
We had the Vet look him over, just check the legs and back etc. As soon as she saw him in the box her face changed!!!!
She examined him and told us bad amount of fluid on the knee and the opposite front fetlock!
She said even for light hacking she would not reccomend having him. Best to take him straight back before we got any more attached!!!!
We rang the lady (who I thought would have changed into a mad raving angry typical horsewoman) and she couldnt have been lovlier!
We took him back, very sad, the lady was really sorry that we had missed it (only professional opinion would have seen)!
It was so nice to have a lady like that!!! How refreshing!
