Everyone loves a picture on a friday afternoon right?

He's done a bit too well on his new feed!...maybe it's just the angle?

I've sorted his mane, his fluffy feet will be done soon, starting to look like a pony rather than a baby! :D

First show in 2 weeks! :D Does anyone have any tips on how to get him to stand?! He is either a fidget or rests his back leg!

Feedback welcomed (unless you are nasty & don't like him..:D)

How could anyone not like him?

No useful feedback from me, just wanted to say what a lovely boy he is.

And what self-respecting youngster (equine or human) doesn't fidget?

Haha thanks! He is a cutey!

He is like a teething baby, he will put anything in his mouth then just try and snuggle up to me! As cute as it is, I don't want a snuggle in the show ring! :D

He's very pretty. Will he turn grey or stay roan? How old is he?

No advice other than go and enjoy yourselves. Concentrate on staying calm yourself as that will help keep him calm. Aim for good behaviour. Anything else is a bonus! Good luck!

Thank you!

He will eventually be grey, although it may take an awful long time! He is officially 3, although his birthday isn't until May!

I will be okay with calm, just as long as I don't run and go over on my ankle, a common thing with me! :D

Thankyou! :D

He looks fine for a rising 3 year old pony. I teach all my foals to stand correctly at around 4 or 5 months and continue this training at yearling and 2 year old stage so that by the time they're 3 they just stand correctly as a matter of course. If you start now with your little man then he should have a good solid stand by the time you start showing.

Pretty pony :) It's hard to say from the photo - could be well covered, could be fine (hair is v deceptive!)... If you can feel his ribs easily, he's fine. If not, cut back a little on his feed :)

Thank you very much everyone :)

I will try and get another photo today :) He doesn't look that rounded when he's wondering around his field!

I do try and make him stand up every time he comes in, I also lead him down the lane and around the school to 'practise' and make sure he stands square when I ask him to halt. He just seems to be one of those awkward types who is always most comfortable stood oddly :D Work will continue ;)
