Is the best way I can describe it. My 4 year old sec d x tb is generally a nice chap. Good to lead, groom etc. But he is very impatient, when I am doing his rugs he is trying to whack me with his head. When I take his headcollar off both in the field and in the stable he does it as well. He meets my elbow and gets a firm telling off to no effect. It is getting really frustrating, does anyone have any suggestions to stop him?

My horse gives me a shove with his head too, tends to be when we stop at the field gate to go to the yard. Its very annoying and i always forget he may do it, so prob place myself incorrectly between him and the gate. Writing this has made me realise that when he does it i should make him back up and move out of my space. Instead i think i very mildly tell him he is a naughty boy. Hmm must correct this behaviour ;-)
