Hi all new to this so forgive me if I have posted in the wrong place, I am looking to get a helmet cam for hacking out I purchase one (ofebay and cheap) the recording is great as is the sound but for some reasons it only records in 3min sections! I have returned it and am looking for one that is easy to use not too expensive hopefully under £100, its only to record my adventures. does anybody recommend one that is suitable and records for longer
many thanks

S, was your head cam programmable? I have a SJ4000 which is the Chinese copy of the GoPro selling for under £70 (I think the GoPro is around £250). The SJ4000 can be used as a car-cam, i.e. fixed to the windscreen when it can be programmed to record over and over at intervals of several minutes so if there is a traffic incident it will record it rather than recording until the memory is full. I wonder if your head cam was set up correctly for normal head cam use?

http://www.techmoan.com/blog/2014/2/3/the-sj4000-action-camera-review.html reviewed the SJ4000 which you might like to have a look at. It is good value for the money.

You can get a Muvi from Amazon new for £30. It isn't as good as a go pro - but it is a lot cheaper in case something happens to it. With an extension card it records for up to 8 hours.

I wanted a go pro but apparently they can pull your hat down over your eyes with the weight, so I'm now looking at the hedcam ten80 bullet camera which is so lightweight and the footage does look brilliant.
