Hey Guys,

Havnt been on here for a while been to busy sunning myself in Greece!!

Its coming up to my birthday and the OH has been asking for ideas, and I was thinking a Head Cam would be pretty cool but have know idea about what type, price range etc???

Does anyone have one, or can u suggest the best ones???

Thanks S x

I have a muvi micro which I got for XC - it is great as is very small/light but the lens is very small so the picture is ok but not great

Be careful of the size / weight - I had an older one which was quite heavy and made my helmet sit at an angle

I've just ordered one off on unicornleather.co.uk was £29.99 plus postage. Seems like a good one and not a bad price, I wanted one as I have experienced so many numpties driving too close to my horse that I wanted video evidence to back it up when I make a complaint to the police.

We've got a helmet hero. Its about three years old now and still going strong, and I think they've improved them since then even.

I think to a certain extent you get what you pay for - the very cheap ones tend to have poor picture quality so if you can afford a mid range or better, you will get less annoyed with it.

Most of the manufacturers have example videos on their websites and you can search youtube for examples too. I know youtube does eat some of the quality from the video, but at the end of the day if you're wanting to put the vids on youtube you need to know that the camera takes video that will work on there.

There is a company called horseshowtv that go around to competitions with head cams. There cameras were amazing and looked super light. You could email them and ask them what they use as the quality of the video was like it was in hd
