My mare appears to have aural plaque in both her ears, although it is flat and doesn't look too severe.
However, she has started head shaking over the past few weeks. Only when I am tacking her up or exercising, though. She is still very much ridable, but I think its getting a bit worse. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with her ears though, as she drops her right ear when she head shakes.
She also is a bit fussy about her ears in general. And shakes her head the same way as when I'm riding her when I try to see the aural plaque.
Is there any treatment for this? Or anything to make her more comfortable?
Thanks for any help.
