Hello

I clipped my boy on Sunday, then put him out for two hours rode and put him to bed. Monday morning noticed him gently shaking his head randomly, increased the shaking more when I pop on his head collar

Mon afternoon - almost constantly shaking his head. Not in an aggressive way but my friend noted him doing it in the field yesterday and was still doing it last night. Not constant but noticeable

He did it once before and I had the vet out who couldn't find any thing but suggested lice power but it spotted the following day.

Has any one had this?

Im hoping there is some fluff from the clipping in his ear but he was fine Sunday night

His eyes are not red
Hes eating completely normally
No difference in him self
No ear sensitivity

I'm about to call the vet - but think as before will have gone by time he comes out on Friday!!

Any advise or tips MOST welcome.... Its upsetting me more than him

Also - may not be connected but his head was COVERED in mud yesterday - I think he might had rolled excessively trying to get some relief - however no one called to say they had seen him roll and Im on a big yard and sure some one would have noticed....

Thank you - Ive got three people on "shakey head watch" while hes grazing today!!

If he only does it when I go up tonight Im withholding carrots !

could it be that he doesn't like the feeling of the freshly cut "spiky" hair rubbing/pressing on something? His bridle perhaps?

Or that removing the hair has removed some padding somewhere and now something is rubbing or causing pressure?

Is he good to clip or could he have pulled back and hurt his poll or his nose or something?
