Ellie broke her best headcollar a week ago; she got it caught on the bar in the trailer, and it snapped right by the buckle on the headpiece. It lost about five inches, but we were able to punch another hole to make it useable to get her home. I bought another one the other day - a Shires one, nothing amazing and very cheap, but smart enough - but this one is still by far the nicer headcollar! I've tidied it up a bit and snipped off the straggled ends; bearing in mind I need to punch another hole in the headpiece in order for it to go through the keeper, do you think it looks smart enough to still be her 'show' headcollar, or does it need to be demoted?

It wont go in the keeper at the moment, but if/when I can find our hole punch, I will be able to put another hole in so that it will slot in!

It looks ok, but sometimes, i slip my headcoller on over my bride at a show and yours might not fit anymore. It would be a very simple job for a saddler to attach a new headpiece.
