Just a word of warning to those of you who turnout in headcollars with the clip on the throatlash or the bucket type muzzles with the same. When i went to check my shetland this morning he wasn't wearing his muzzle. Assuming he'd slipped it off during the night started wondering round the field to find it, and caught sight of it hanging on the fence
Got to it and found that it was clipped onto a strand of wire (plane wire electric fence, thankfully currently turned off!) and the velcro over the head was undone. He had obviusly rubbed/lent through fence and clipped himself to it somehow. As i said thankfully the velcro came undone and there was no signs of struggle by the fence and he was uninjured. Had the velcro not been there, it could of been a very different story when i got there this morning. Im sure it was a very fluke accident but just thought id warn others to be careful what they turnout in.
