Can you use headland polo in a hand held sprayer? I have looked on some sites and it says not to use it in one but I was wondering if any one had? Also does any one know the cheapest place to buy it and can I order it myself or do you need to be a farmer or something?

This product MUST be used with a boom sprayer only. I had a long talk with the company's rep about this recently. Also, be aware that there is misinformation on the container label. It states that you must keep animals off the sprayed area for at least 2 weeks (that is correct) and until the RAGWORT DIES AND BECOMES UNPALATABLE (that is patently incorrect and is an agrochemical industry-wide statement). Ragwort becomes palatable once it has died, but it is just as toxic as the living plant. If you intend to put your animals back on the sprayed fields after 2 weeks, it is imperative that you remove all dead ragwort first.

I used it in a hand sprayer just for spot spraying. Used it in a boom for larger areas. No problem:)
Didnt know you couldnt use it in a hand sprayer, I know plenty who do, including farmers...oh well

Contact Headland's rep...he'll tell you the chemical is intended to be applied with a boom sprayer only. I had planned to spray it with a knapsack sprayer, but was put off that idea.

Perhaps it's Headland's way of covering their collective bottoms in the event of toxic reactions by individuals who have not taken proper precautions when spraying by hand.
