Headless Snuggy Hood....is there a knack?

Is there a knack to getting the headless snuggy hood on?
I have the pull on and my god its tight to get over the head, fits lovely when it's on though.

Is there a way of doing it so my boy doesn't end up completely blindfolded and thinking I'm trying to pull his head off ??‍

Don't have any head collar on. Make sure the velcro is open. Gather it on your hands as much as you can and get it over the eyes quickly , with the hood still gathered up. Once over the eyes, open the hood up and position down the neck.

My poor horse just accepts she is temporarily blind whilst I'm putting hers on ??
