My 16 year old has been coughing and has been diagnosed with low grade COPD.
However he has also started headshaking but only in the stable. I have always kept him on straw because is filthy and a box walker and it is the only cost effective way of keeping his bed clean. Obviously I have had to change this now and after thoroughly cleaning his stable yesterday I put a bed of Nedz bed original down. When I put him in the stable he started headshaking quite badly so I cleaned it all out and replaced it with a flax bedding. I can't believe he would be allergic to both these 'dust free' beddings. He is fine when ridden and appears to be OK in the field.
Has anyone experienced anything similar?
