Mud fever. My boy has never had mud fever before. I can only think lowered immune system from headshaking which involved painful teeth and lots of danilon. He must have been in low grade pain for sometime until the headshaking started, to get away from increased pain.
On the plus side, mud fever is not life threatening.
Had a brilliant ride on him in the arena this am (for all of 1/2 hour), really going forward and in an outline, at times. I am slowly bringing him back into work.
He is super unfit and I have recently taken his shoes off and attempting barefoot so he has a lot to contend with at the moment.
