I want to say thank you to everyone who contibuted suggestions to my post a couple of weeks ago about sudden headshaking in my 20 year old gelding.

I now have him on a regime of homeopathic mixed pollen tablets, local honey, full face mask (including ears) when turned out and a nose-net when being ridden or lunged and he is 99.9% better and working brilliantly.

Thanks again for your input everyone.

Nice to hear advice has worked, we aquired a headshaker here last year who was having a really tough time coping where he lived.
He arrived with runny eyes, swollen face etc but living here on higher ground with no crops within many miles seems to have solved the problem totally.
We haven#t seen a sign of it since he came..

Good to hear yours has made a full recovery.

Dec has never shown any sign of it before in the seven years I've had him so I'm hoping that it's a seasonal bout that can be controlled with the same precautions taken early enough next year.
