For Omar (aka poof bags).
He tripped badly with my husband on board out hacking on sunday and fell onto his knees.
He grazed his nose and both knees although did right himself seconds before my husband was about to bail.
Husband brought him home, walked him off, bathed his knees, cleaned the grazes out etc. Has done the same every day since and Omar doesn't appear to be lame in anyway. but this morning hubby has rung to say theres a bit of heat in one knee.
He's calling the vet out so i'm stuck in Scotland waiting for a phone call to let me know whats happening.
Fingers crossed its nothing serious but after losing Sid to lameness we're both paranoid about legs.
Can i have some vibes its nothing serious?

Needless to say i doubt hovis is giving his brother any sympathy.
Please please please don't let it be serious. The day we were told there was nothing more we could do for sid was the only time I've ever seen my big, burly ex rugby playing husband cry.

No fluid, a small amount of swelling and until this morning no heat.
He's walking about fine on it although obviously hubby hasn't pushed him or ridden him.
His nose is just a little graze, its just this one knee we're worried about.
He was apparently really soppy with hubby last night and this morning which isn't like him so just concerned he might be in pain. Hence call to vet.

Poor Poof Bags - probably just a bit of bruising coming out and all will be fine with him.

Tell him Farra and Chancer send their love.

That said, Farra great clumsy oaf nearly did the same thing - but she was trying to trot fast over the field with nose down sniffing for a place to roll, got it wrong and how she did not go head over heels I don't know.

Maybe Hovis will be nice to him for a few days?

Try not to panic. Jesper did exactly this the day before the dressage regionals. His leg was bruised for a few days but sorted itself out fine (and he's the world's biggest wuss). I'll keep my fingers crossed Omar's is just bruising.
