Healing vibes

Poor old Flicka (aka Magic Millbrook) need some HHO vibes. She had the vet out last week for her COPD and arthritis which has deteriorated badly. Vet suggests bute now for her to be ridden so she will be permanently retired. Her inhalers arrived today so we went out to attempt to administer them to find her with her eye puffed up the size of a cricket ball. Happened in the hour or so between my daughter bringing her new horse in and turning him out again. I guess she has banged it on something. We bathed it and cant see anything obvious but if it has not gone down in the morning it will mean another vet visit. Poor old thing!

Well - the eye looked loads better this morning, open, clear with a swollen top lid. I came home at lunch time to check again and the wrinkles are back and its only slightly bigger - phew.

Also we mannaged to get about 6 puffs of her inhaler into her this morning, as opposed to 2 last night - god she hates it. She only dragged me and big daughter round the box a few times - not sure if its the wisest thing for me to be doing at 37wks pregnant - ho hum!

Fingers crossed it's just a bite that she's rubbed, poor old girl.
