Tell me what it's like to have one!!!
So far this week my elderly cat started getting a smelly breath. Took her to vets and she needed all her teeth out!! They also did a geriatric test on her and she has kidney failure. They think it's progressing slowly though so we went ahead with the operation and she is now back at home doing really well.
The next day my kitten went in to be spayed, so 2 poorly cats.
Then my mare stood on a stone which penetrated the sole of her foot. Really lame so called vet, she is now on bute and farrier coming Tuesday to see if there is any puss. She also has mud fever I can't get rid of so vet had to give me some antibiotic cream for that.
Then my gelding got the coughs and snots, lost his appetite slightly but is much better today, no snots and only coughed once.
Came home to poorly kitten so back up the vets who have run bloods as they think it's either a small infection or a flare up of cat flu (rescued her at 4 weeks with cat flu and they warned us she may be prone to this). Said if she doesn't eat within the next day or 2 then she will have to be admitted. Luckily she just gobbled up some chicken we got her as she wouldn't touch her cat food.
So hopefully they are now all on the mend and luckily none of them have had anything too major but I think I've had my fair share of vets for now.
