Ok,

At the moment my puppy likes having treats (on and off, blo*dy border collie!)
But I don't want to keep feeding him puppy markies, a training treats etc, or cheese and chicken and things as these start building up calories per training session.

So I was wondering if any one had any yummy "healthy" treats? my friends dog loves apple (green not red) but didn't know what others peoples opinions on this topic were?

Any help would be most appreciated!

Due to the expense I've stopped buying treats as such but buy a big bag of Bakers Complete Light and break it into smaller bits if poss. and use that instead. I wouldn't feed it as a meal but as training rewards and 'welcome home from your walk' treats it's ideal.

My mum always buys a piece of liver and cooks it in the microwave. Apparently thats not fattening and they love the smell of it and will do anything for it. (She does chop it up into tiny pieces by the way!)

Ewww liver

(but who knows he might like it!)
i was thinking of crunching up some feed, but I just need to find one he likes...... which is difficult as he can be a picky bugger!
