Hear the Echo Grand National

Hear the Echo - 2008 Irish Grand National winner collapsed close to home in the Grand National today and died. Terrible pity, but just shows how unpredictable a race it is, even for the best prepared horses. My heart goes out to Mouse and his owner Michael O'Leary - i remember watching him win the Irish national last year and the celebrations in the winner's enclosure afterwards. They definitely loved this horse. RIP big man.

RIP...such a shame his jumping etc was amazing,the horse was really looking to enjoy the big fences...just such a shame they cant let us know a long time beforehand something is wrong

Heart breaking. Sometimes the pace on good ground can be too fast. Friends and I watching yesterday were horrified at the speed and it takes its toll.
