Hearing Dogs

Ive just applied as Im severely deaf but I was wondering if there's anyone on here who has an hearing dog and can tell me all about them

Also how long did you have to wait? (im sure I have to wait around 2 years?)

I had to wait 3 years for my Lab retriever, I have heard the waiting list is now 4 years.

This is because dogs that retire get replaced before new ones are given out.

It was a very long wait for me as I worked and they had to find a dog that would settle in an office.
