Heart rate...

Dont know how many of you remember my post about my dissertation proposal of lookign @ horses heart rate and behaviour changes from disabled riders to able riders, just wondering if anyone has a good behaviour scale to work from and also i am going to purchase a heart rate monitor, have got a hand held polar 1 but this is not accurate.... any ideas what is a good one?

I think you will find that all heart rate monitors vary in their ability to pick up and display accurate heart rates.
The polar one is quite good, but I would suggest that you use a stethoscope.

Much cheaper than a HR monitor and much more accurate!
