Heart shaped marking

I was wondering if anyone could help me?
I have a new horse and he has a heart shaped marking on this near hind quarter. I have been told it is from his thoroughbred linage which throws these markings sometimes. I have tried looking on the internet and can't fine anything. I was wondering if it could be some sort of branding. It has always been on his passport and he is an Anglo Arab.

is it a Bend Or marking? Named after the TB sire that had them. Oddly my Arab had a Bend Or marking.

yes he's a chestnut. I will upload a photo later on. its like a filled in white heart.

My Clydesdale has a white heart on the inside of her knee.
