anyone had any experience with this?

fox fractured his leg about 2 years ago and it healed perfectly, i noticed the other day however he kept changing off the leg in canter so got off to check.

there was a little heat in the exact spot of the fracture, but he wasnt sore when i touched it and wasnt lame. phoned the vet for advice and she said just rest him for a couple of weeks and if theres no improvement or he gets worse they'll have to xray again.

hope he'll be fine cos the leg is no longer covered by our insurance and i cant afford those bills.. :(

no he was just rested for 5 months, vets were surprised he pulled through it was quite bad. its came out of no where not sure what could be causing it, the vet said it sometimes happens with bone injuries

I wonder if hes getting a bit of a niggle in it with the change in the weather. I broke my finger about 10 years ago and i think ive got arthritis in it now as it gets "achey" when its damp and cold

I had this happen with my gelding.
A year after a fracture near his stifle, and a full recovery.
he came in lame, massive heat and swelling.
Turned out a splinter of bone had come away!
He made a quick recovery after it was removed.
Just so Scarey and annoying!
And no, not coveted by insurance!

I hope yours I'd something simple.
