This may seem like a pointless post but just wanted to hear what others might think.

I've had my ex racehorse since the beginning of May and, touch wood, the only problem we've had was when my other horse kicked him quite badly on his off hind.

He was fired in 2005 but has come back completely sound. It has taken a while (as I think it does with all new owners) to become completely familiar with his legs and I think I'm pretty much there now. I know they fill slightly when stabled so he has stable wraps on (thanks Acolyte!!). His legs always get hosed down when we come home from exercise and apart from losing a shoe he hasn't been lame.

However, whenever I feel his legs both insides of his front fetlocks feel warm (as opposed to the length of his legs which are cool). I am not worried about this because the heat is the same in both front legs and there is no swelling or lameness. I think because the heat is symetrical in both legs its fine. He is 100% sound and on incredibly good bouncy, happy form. Am I being ignorant and missing something ie. both legs are going to break soon?!!

I hate the way, having had an old horse who broke down badly, that I pay such huge attention to legs!! Pain in the bum.
