My boy has heat in the bulbs of his heels in both front legs but the near fore is hottest. There is no pulse and no lameness but its an obvious strong heat. I'm going to keep him in tomorrow whatever.
Any ideas as cause? He was trimmed by farrier in Tuesday who was very happy with his feet and said no signs of lami etc. he's in soaked hay 4kg per night and has small feed with prohoof (150grms fast fibre and handful of chaff)
We has hacked out on the roads this morning and did a short stint on some very rough stones which he struggled with to get to the common land.
Do you think it could be laminitis? He's never had it before and is not overweight. But it could be??
