ok.. tia was bought with a barbed wire scar on her off fore that she got when she was around 2ish (5/6now) - she flew through vetting and it was declared purely superficial. with the increase of more work on hard ground (xc and such), it now has heat in it. she is totally sound, willing to work and she doesnt mind me touching it although does lift her leg up when putting her boots on but she does this with her near fore aswel. i am inclined to leave it as it doesn't seem to be causing any problems but was just wondering if anyone had any experiences with this.. she is not in any pain at all, as far as i am aware, and being TB she seems to overract with every cut and scrape available.
thanks

yep had similar situ - vet advised that sometimes with an old injury there may always be an increased blood flow to that area and that heat is therefore not significant. I guess it depends where the scar / heat is though?

I doubt if the old injury will be causing any real problem. I would be empted to hose the legs down after exercise on hard ground anyway. It only takes a few minutes & may help
