Cool as in cold...

We aren't used to summer up here and yesterday I think I had heat stroke from riding in a hacking jacket and body protector. It was torture...

Soo

What is the coolest showjacket?

Also, this would be more for endurance and long hot hacks, not shows, but hat, jodpurs and chaps. My hat is the j3 ventilated type but I don't find it makes much difference. I am thinking of the really ventilated ones.

Thanks.

I have LAS and Troxel ventilated hats for Long Distance Riding.
Kerrits riding tights and Performance Equestrian Perfeq tights

I have Champion Universal hats. I've tried on the flashier, pretty, more expensive ventilated hats but they aren't half as comfy on me (and I'm fussy!) so I stick with what I know suits my head. They do the job and don't cost a fortune.

Jods - TBK and Piqueur thin lycra type thingys. They're really stretchy but with joddy fastenings.

Mesh half chaps and ariat trainer-ish ankle boots. I found the dublin mesh chaps wouldn't stay up, the performance equestrian ones are much better.

I find the best thing to put on your legs when its really hot is full chaps the suede ones with shorts underneath to ride in, you would think they would be really hot but I find them better than jodpurs and boots.

Thanks folks some good tips. Will investigate further tomorrow as need to be cool by Sunday as doing an endurance ride, weather meant to still be great, which is good but you know! Found a page for troxel stockists and I am totally gobsmacked there are 3 within 10 miles of my house apparently and two are in shops I didn't even know existed/did horsey stuff!:D
