I am 37 weeks pregnant, have just sold my horse, have not been to work since the beginnning of January and am utterly bored out of my head.

We have bought all the baby stuff, the room is ready, my house is sparkly clean, I have cleaned and put away all the horse things and have officially run out of things to do.

I miss being with my horse, I am utterly peed off and bored. I have been searching horse ads for something to do, despite not planning to look another for a good few months when the baby is a bit older.

So am looking for some sympathy (pretty please) and some ideas of what to do. And if any one wants to find me a dream horse to drool over for a while thats fine too.

Poor you - hugs x x x

If its any consolation I'm utterly bored too, although I have a horse he's been lame for the past god knows how long so haven't properly ridden since July last year

Its so depressing!

I cant really think of anything to suggest that you do - I could send over some of my studying if you're really bored? LOL! All I will say is to put it into a positive light - in a few weeks you will NOT be bored!

I have a friend in the same position - she however, has decided she will come back and share my horse after baby has arrived to give her some flexibility while she gets back "into life"

No advice to give Im sorry but plenty of sympathy,Im 26 weeks pregnant with my fourth and even though I still have our ponies I am suffering with this pregnancy and getting very frustrated and bored with being unable to do the things I want to do.
Lots of luck with the new little one wont be long now xx

Oh dear!!! School girl error getting pregnant - much more sensible to have horse instead!!

Just joking! Really pleased for you although it must be gutting selling your horse - I would also suggest you think about sharing after the birth to get back into the swing of things and work out how much time you have.

go out and take some horsey photos - all your horsey friends will love and you get out to pat ponies

yay!
other than that - put some music on and listen to it REALLY LOUD!

and dance around being pregnant and enjoy looking silly when you're doing it...........and claim to all the nieghbours it's for the baby and if they complain - then tell they're miserable!!
line up episodes of House to watch......or drag out previously recorded xc rounds of badminton to watch....

I could continue but it may get sillier...

Put your feet up, sleep sleep sleep, watch your favourite DVDs, read books, read horsey mags, pamper yourself, meet up with other expecting mums for lunch or coffee... go swimming, yoga whatever...

Honestly, try to relax you will not have this sort of peace ever again

I know how it must be though as I kept my horse over my two pregnancies and this kept me busy until the last minute but really, ENJOY this time as much as possible. And maybe look for a share like others suggested.

THink of all of us who are shovelling endless amounts of muck through the rain at the moment

Not so much fun...

And when the baby is born you will have plenty to do again...

I can completely sympathise with the being pregnant and bored part - had my little boy 11 weeks ago. I was also bored towards the end but also incredibly frustrated as I had turned away my horse for the winter and every time I went to see him he ran over expecting me to hop on.

I'm back riding now but it takes soooo much more planning around OH or mum looking after him so think seriously about sharing! I'm starting to plan competitions from late March onwards and its a military operation!!

Good luck with the birth - and make the most of your time now :-)
