Hi,

I am a newbie in need of help!
My pony has to be on restricted grazing when the grass gets up as she is a fatty...
however she pulls off her front shoes in the fence trying to get the grass from the neighbouring field..I did a google search for a horse related item a while ago and saw these plastic heel guards that fit over the back of the heels and shoe to prevent them coming off, they were bright orange. I cant find them again!!??

was wondering if anyone knew what im on about!?

Supastuds stock the shoe secure. I think they have had quite good reviews too, if you search the forum there are a few posts about them. I contemplated getting some for my horse who pulls shoes alot, and my farrier even suggested them, but mine treads on his from the sides so I wasn't sure it would work.

one of my fiends has these for her horse that has always pulled his shoes off by either overreaching or getting stuck !!!
She was paying over £100 to have 2 front shoes on re being glued etc to try & keep them them on.
her lad has had these for a while now - there were some teething problems putting them on at 1st & occasionaly when he has new shoes fitted but she does think they are great - there has been the odd occasion where they have come off - once pulling his shoe off & once just coming off with screws still in & shoe still intact not quite sure how he mamanged this !!!!
Overall she is vey pleased & she has managed to go back to having shoes put on normally saving herself a fortune - she still puts his overeach boots on over the top though & hers are bright orange - easier to find in field if they do come off !
