Heelwork to Music

Has anyone ever done Heelwork to Music? It looks such a wonderful sport for all dogs but I've noticed the ones at the top (Crufts) all seem to be border collies. I might get Mary Ray's books. I would love to hear how anyone got started doing this and how difficult it is to teach a dog.
 
I did HTM at a very basic level competed but never got out of Starters. First thing to ask is where are you located as then I can tell you if there is a class nearby.

There are a lot of BCs but lots of other breeds too. My friend has competed and won at Crufts with 5 different Bearded Collies. She has the first Bichon Frise to reach advanced.

I don't think it's any harder to teach the moves than any other dog sport but choosing music and puting the routine together can be tricky

There isn't much in the West Country. I've asked on a couple of FB pages I'll get back to you with any information
