I am thinking of buying back my old pony next summer- he will be 16 and is tb x camargue, 14.1hh. I am 5'6, long legged and 9st. I intend to mostly hack, and occasionally school, probably ride 3-4 times max a week. Opinions on whether he would be ok or people thing I am too big/tall? Thanks :)

I think you should be okay weightwise but a picture would be a good idea just to see how long your legs look on him

It depends how you will feel on him - you are certainly not too heavy - I have ridden ponies of a similar size and I'm 5'11" and 9 stone :)

Provided he hasn't got back problems and as long as he doesn't have super skin legs or anything it should be fine! Someone told me ponies can carry up to 9x their weight, not sure if that's totally true but I'm sure hell be fine with you! I'm 8st and 5'5 and I have to ride my siblings 12hh pony when she's naughty and she's fine! Xxx
