I’ve had my Wolsey swift clippers for 25 years ... never had them serviced and never have they let me down — and they still look like new ... if they die tomorrow they owe me nothing ... light weight so not the clippers if you are planning to do a yard full but for a hobby owner I can’t recommend them enough. I have small hands so I needed clippers I could get my hands around - I wouldn’t hesitate to buy them again (do they still make them?)

I’ll go for the Heininger ones only as I have the Progress ones and they’re brilliant, best clippers I’ve had.

I bought a second hand pair of heiniger handys off eBay and haven’t looked back, nervous of buying second hand but they are great, just had them serviced after 3 years usage..not too heavy and a good long lead..

My friend has my heiniger Handy's that I bought in 2001, they are still fine and I got different ones as I now don't have mains electric. They aren't the quietest clippers though if that matters to you.
