Hi all,
Havn't ventured in here before, I own/am owned by a gorgeous parson russell called Remy. He's about a year and 3/4's now and just the bestest doggy I could ever ask for.
Now for the rant, im currently sitting in my room with Rems who is whining/crying/yelping his little wee head off. I live on a friends farm, which is great because I can see my two horses from my bedroom. As well as my two horses there is my friends horse and another horse owned by this weird lady. Said weird lady has two dogs, both bitches and only one of them has been 'done'. When she came down the yard yesterday to do her horse, Remy shot off in her direction which is very unlike him. As I walk over to fetch him back she cheerfully anounces that her dog, Lottie is in season. ******ing brilliant....and now i've now got a sexually frustrated, love sick terrier. He's not eating all that much and is generally a bit off. Poor wee man.
Now for the question, i've always believed that it's the bitch's owners responsibility to avoid entire dogs if they are in season, afterall it only lasts roughly a week once a year (though I know some dogs have two seasons). Weird lady says to me, it might be best to shut Remy away whilst Lottie is in season. Now this really pissed me off, I live here and I pay rent. So I ask you all knowing dog people: should weird lady avoid bringing her in season bitch down the yard until she is out of season and take her for a walk somewhere else, or should I lock my dog away whilst she is here which is usually 3-5 hours a day?
Many thanks xxx
