I can pick one up out of the papers - but really dont want to encourage the semi detached puppy breeder brigade. I have contacted most animal shelters and RSPCA re-homes but most of the cross breeds they cannot predict the eventual size of. I am ideally looking for a jack russell, jack russell cross bitch or pattersdale (or cross) pup. Definatley not for breeding as will have her spayed.

It is wanted to keep mom and dads jack russell cross 2 year old resuce a bit of company. This dog has a better life than me and i am sure mom and dad have now made her the heir to the family fortune. She is walked 3 times a day, has the run of a huge garden, they do have a cat (size of a large dog!) which is why we are after a youngster as whislt he tolerated the 6 month old pup - he did run away for a couple of weeks and we dont want that to happen again.

We are in the Midlands if you have any ideas ?

Ucmeicu - thanks for the link - anyone have any ideas what a jr x collie would be like?

We once had a bull terrier x collie and she was a mad madam - needed as much excercise as a collie and as much stimulation. she looked like scooby doo - and could sent out a deer at the drop of a hat

puppy pound in poole have pups alot aswell. I would think jrt x collie would be v bright and up to a good bit of exercise, mind you jrt on their own are full of beans lol I had a bichon x yorkie that was a wonderful mix plus bichons dont moult (result) have you thought of one of those? Loads on many tears, love a good walk and also love a lap!! Not so lively as a JRT Plus you dont have constant hoovering lolol
