Just passing through...
Just got home.
Wimbles printed out all your kind thoughts! Thank you so much. If I cry it's 'cos I banged m'head
It was a really silly fall, not Dizzy's fault at all. After all the things I've sat on her, we were cantering at speed - she veered left slightly and I veered right. Hit the ground ok, but the height and speed and I fell backwards, banging my head good anf proper on the ground.
Friend (nurologey nurse) and daughter were with me. Friend was poking and prodding withing seconds. Daughter was dealing with three horses. Friends' Big Cob hurtled at me and stopped very quickly next to me - so bouncy Firend nearly ended up on top of me lol Daughter called ambulance, who came very quick, as did air ambulance. didn't need the helicopter though - good job as felt sick enough! All lovely people.
Short story is a small bleed, not needing surgery, so very lucky me
. Two days in hsopital. First day and night not nice, but much better now.
No boken bones, no bruising really, otehr than one on the back of my head. Gawd knows how as had a well fitting hat on. Had mountain horse protective jacekt as well, so that probably saved bits of me. Bent my glasses though
Am so lucky really. I know I've had a few things go wrong lately, but that is Life. On the whole, I'm incredibly lucky. I have a brilliant husband, daughters, family, Friend and friends; my horse can be a numpt but she's not nasty, just young and a bit silly. I still have those that are important to me, and those I have lost, it was their time and nothing could be done to save them - at least I had the honour of knowing them and loving them and being loved by them
So my sweet-peas, a little less yabbering from MrsM for now, and hugs and thankies to all of you
