I keep reading this forum so i thought i should maybe get round to registering! While im at it what r the opinions on drop nosebands. My horse goes well in a mexican grackle but not a flash, fine for eventing not for pure dressage! He usually does dressage in a caveson but is far more stable and lighter in his grackle, what do you think?

Hello and welcome. I don't use nosebands so it's not a topic of much interest to me. Others do and will perhaps give their opinions.

Hello from me.
I use a drop on my ISH. I used it when I first bought him at rising 5 & he evented in it for the first 2 years. For various reasons (including he'd got a bit strong) I changed to a flash for a year, however he's now 8 and mainly doing dressage & I have recently changed back. He is much softer & I find there is less resistance. I know a few people who use them & they are very popular again in dressage.
I'd def give it a go.
