Hi All,
I thought I would introduce myself after being a lurker on here for over a year now.
I share in a lovely Dales Pony called Duke, who is 7.
Demon Pony
He looking rather podgy in the photos but is losing weight quite nicely at the moment.
He's a rather nappy fella but has improved substantially in the last 6 months. Instead of a half hour stop with spinning, we now have a minute or two of "ooh its scary, can't possibly go near the scary plastic" and then carrying on.
We've been hacking all summer and now trying to do a bit of schooling. However we are limited in facilities as all we have a 20m lunging pen to school in at night (I work full time). He doesn't bend particularly well and is lazy - it takes an eternity of transitions before he starts going off the leg properly. Any suggestions of exercises very welcome
Ooh that turned into quite a long one. I have some Cobra beer handy if you made it through
