Howdy,
I don't think I have ever posted in here before but from what I have heard you are all nice!
Soooooo many moons ago I worked at a welsh D stud. We didn't do futurity, we took them to shows and the ultimate was a Royal Welsh Win.
Anyone who could say they picked up a red at the RWS was thought to have top stock.
So....fast forward and I'm now on a yard where the talk is very much Futurity and Grading and I have not got a scooby what they are talking about.
Can I ask:
What is the point of a Futurity Grading?
Is it just stallions so as they can charge more per 'deposit'? ( I know mares and foals go to but do geldings?)
How many times can you take the same horse?
Is 'SJ 7.93' a good score? Would you keep this animal whole?
What is a Higher Second Premium?
