Hi! Ive been a silent watcher very infrequently over the last couple of weeks, just been really interested in some threads regarding mules but didnt know where to reach out for advice regarding them without making an account, so here i am! Im in the south of the UK right now near Hampshire/Dorset and have been interested in mules for the longest time but have never had the space or money or time, you know how it is, however i have recently been looking at being able to get one in the near future, so thought it would be best to ask, realistically, what are my chances of finding a mule down here, around 14hh and youngish, dont mind if its not been backed yet to ride but would prefer if it had basics in terms of handling etc. Not too picky though as i know theyre fairly rare and would be lucky with whatever i found? Ive been scowering facebook groups and sales websites and have seen a few but either snapped up by someone else in the blink of an eye, or too small/old for me. Also am aware some others in the past have asked this questions but most threads were very old, so if anyone knows of any that have been put up recently, i would love to know! Dont mind travelling around to get one, i would be very grateful for any pointers and tips too, i know theyre very different to horses and have been reading up a ton but im always eager to learn more :) any leads regarding sales or where else i can keep an eye on would be so so so appreciated, sorry this was so long!! Other stuff about me is that i, with my mother, own 3 ponies! 2 are in work and one is a small shetland companion. Still trying to figure out my way around these forums so help regarding that would also be appreciated haha, thankyou! ❤️

Hello and welcome from a fellow mule lover!
I have the holy grail…. A 3yr old mule who is about 14hh currently. He's not for sale (well, not not for sale at any price, but it would have to be a persuasive offer!), but his half brother (also 3) might be so I'd be happy to pass on a number of who to contact if you send me a private message.

I don't think they can PM until they've made a few posts, I can't remember how many, 10?

For a long time I have fancied having a gaited mule. I won't now, it's got a bit late for me to be buying. But I always was impressed by the ones in the USA.
