Hi there H&H :)

Erisda here, I have actually come in the hope of getting some help and advice as I became a Hound owner 2 months ago and have jumped between forums trying to get advice that hasn't been abusive or degrading. I have had a few issues in the past over people saying I should not have taken a hound on as a first dog, he is just fussy etc etc I do hope I won't find that here and have found members seem to be very pleasant and helpful :)

My pup, Charlie just turned 6 months and I got him 2 months ago believing him to be a Beagle puppy but as he has almost doubled in size and weight now standing 18inches at the withers I'm starting to doubt he is all Beagle XD Not that I mind, other than his struggling health, he always seems to have something new wrong he is full of love and while not too active he is coming on leaps and bounds.
But anyway this is my wee man, spoilt as he is

Hello and welcome to the forum, Erisda! I'm sure you'll get loads of helpful advice if you post in the 'all about dogs' section. I think there are some very knowledgeable people who often post replies on there, and you should quickly get replies after starting a new thread. The posts on here never gets nasty unless e.g. people are convinced that the OP are not being genuine, are a troll, etc. You may find that most people would say that it's important to take the dog to a good vet in the first instance if there's a health problem.

That's a lovely photo of your dog. Butter wouldn't melt! My 'pedigree and KC registered' Shih Tzu turned out to look nothing like your typical Shih Tzu by any means, and one of my kittens turned out to be female, instead of male. After waiting a few months for 'him' to develop a bit more, the vet said they'll just go ahead with the neutering now, and afterwards they said she's a girl! Lol!
