Hi everyone, I'm new here :)
I have been riding since I was 5 years old and now I'm 16 years old and finally have my own horse. I have waited for so long for my own and have ridden anything I can get my hands on from docile cobs, frisky thoroughbreds, cobs with bucking and rearing issues, ploddy thoroughbreds etc. I think riding so many different types of horses has helped me improve my riding and choose the type of horse I wanted.
I now own my extremely handsome boy, 15.2hh 8 year old thoroughbred Nick <3 I love him more than anything and he means the whole world to me. We both enjoy hacking out and try to go for a hack and have a good gallop up the hill at least once a week, he is never silly but he can be a bit strong and frisky when he gets excited but he is just a big baby. He loves jumping but can panic at last minute and needs reassurance that I defiantly do want him to jump. He is my whole world and I love him more than words can describe.
We had a fantastic ride today, went for a good gallop, jumped some logs in the woods and he made friends with a Labrador walking with his owners in the woods.
Thank you for welcoming me and my boy here, Lots of love from me and Nick x

Welcome!
What a brilliant introduction post, you've even worked out how to post photos: lovely! Great photos. Is that nice bit of stone your mounting block?
Must be wonderful to finally own your own horse - hope you both continue to enhoy yourselves and look forward to hearing about your adventures.

I am a member of a few other forums so thats how I knew how to post some photos, haha yeah the stone is our mounting block, however, dad has bought me a plastic step which I have been using now as I always worry about Nicks legs by the stone even though its smooth.
It really is a dream come true to have my own horse, I really appreciate him! Thank you x

Thank you, He really is amazing! Love him to bits :)
The stubble field is fun, the owner of where I keep him has a small yard and about 46 acres about 20 acres is used for grazing but we can ride in all the rest including a little woodland area! Its fantastic, we use the stubble field for cantering straight down the middle because its so flat. x
He is also absolutely fine with my staffordshire bull terrier and my staffy loves coming out with me on the rides and he runs alongside me and even plays in the river that we ride alongside, good job there is a hose pipe at the yard hooked up to warm water! x
