Hi guys, I just wanted to introduce myself, I am Erin and I come from Italy.
First of all, I am sorry if my English might not sound as perfect as yours but it is my second language :).

Looks like there are a lot of interesting topics on this forum :D:D.
Speaking about horses, I have an amazing OTTB thoroughbred of 10 years old. I have bought him 8 years ago so we have been together for a long time ;).
We do not compete (I competed in show jumping for many years with other horses but now I just want to ride in my spare time) so basically we just do flat work, a bit of show jumping and hacking.

Now tell me about you!

Hello Erin! I’m new to the site too! 😁
I also have 2 OTTBs but wow 8 years is a long time your bond must be amazing.
Iv had mine 3 years and the other one I have had 1 year they are lovely mares.
I will always be jealous of people who have the confidence to compete I simply don’t have the guts to do it haha I mainly just hack and am a huge lover of natural horsemanship so I’m learning more and more about that.
*ps for a second language your English is amazing 🙂

Hi Lauren!! Nice to meet you!!! Yeah our bond is amazing :) he is everything to me and I think I m everything to him!!! (bear in mind that I bought him when he was just 2 years old and I dealt with him alone all for all these years). The bad side is that now he doesn' t want to be managed by other people  (as I wrote in my first topic in the tack room section). So now I' m trying to fix this issue because it is becoming a bit stressful...I m working on it!!!
Anyway I also like natural methods, I ride my OTTB with the bitless bridle and to be honest looks like he works much better than with the bit, he looks more relaxed and calm!!!:)
ps: thank you so much for my English, I lived in the USA and then in the UK for 2 years so let' s say that it helped !!! :p

That’s great though to say you’ve raised him and looking at them photos you’ve shared you sure have done a great job! Bless you I have one like that she’s hard on trusting people she’s learnt to trust me but issue is like you’ve said if getting her to trust other people, that’s amazing! I’m going to swap to the bitless bridles how did you swap from the bit to bitless? That’s awesome good job ☺️
