I am new here although I think I was a member under a different name about 15 years or so ago. Anyway I have been in horses for a long time and lost my last boy 2 years ago, it was just his time, arthritis had taken its toll, and after 3 years retirement living out I decided he wasn't to face another winter so, at age 25 I let him go. Took some lessons and started to ride my friend's cob once a week after such a long break, and have now just taken a part share in a Clydesdale x ISH mare, age 11 and a real sweetheart. I am elderly but like to think I can still offer love, care and fun to a nice horse. I will be asking for advice over coming weeks/months, she's pretty overweight and I'd like to shift some of those kilos...
