Hi All, I officially entered the wonderful and sometimes bewildering world of horse ownership on Friday on behalf of my 12 year old daughter. Being a bit of a geek (and slightly terrified!) I've undertaken a basic BHS course in Horse Ownership..but .of course, I could read a car manual but it wouldn't make me a mechanic; so the hard yards have started! Please forgive any seemingly ridiculous questions, we just want to make sure our pony is healthy, safe and happy Thanks so much in advance!

Hi Cati72, welcome to the forum
There is a lovely new poster on here called Darbs, he has also just been suckered into horse ownership by his daughter and he is loving it!! ask as much as you can, don't be afraid, the books can't always help you as much as the 'lifers' on here, it has helped me so much as a new horse owner, many times i have thought, well i never knew that or ahhh so that's what that means or how i do this or that, i hope you enjoy your journey as much as i am xxx
